QUMS Vocal Workshop Day 2023!

QUMS members are invited to join us for an in-depth vocal workshop and rehearsal on Sunday 3rd September 2023!

Presented by our Musical Director – Guillaume Lemay-Yates, who is currently undertaking a Master of Music Studies specialising in conducting with an emphasis on vocal pedagogy and choral conducting.

This workshop will be an excellent opportunity to get deeper insight into vocal technique which we rarely have time to dive into during regular rehearsals. We will look at the physiology and anatomy of singing, explore the accent breathing method and put this knowledge into practice by applying it to this semester’s repertoire.

The workshop will take place on campus at UQ St Lucia and run from 10am - 4pm with a 1-hour break for lunch. There is no cost for attending, but please make sure to register!
